I maaaaaaaade it!!!
I did, I did! I graduated! I even have the empty diploma holder to prove it. ;)
Got my degree in Elementary Education... and I'm sort of sad that I'm not applying for teaching jobs right now. (Yeah, yeah I know... now I get to be a teacher to all of my children.... and I'm excited for that, but I still sort of wish I was getting to have my own class. Assuming I'd get hired! haha)
But, I'm so happy to be done!! It's been a loooooong four years (well, and looking back it sort of went by really fast, but while it was happening I felt like it was going on forever. That's life I suppose).
I'm really excited that I made it through.... and definitely a big big big thanks to my parents and Ammon. They are definitely the ones that got me through this whole long thing. They all took turns listening to me cry, vent, rant, and cry some more as I went through this adventure.
Thank you! :)
It was a great day! I even got to walk/sit with my cousin Kayla! :)
She's also pregnant with a little girl! And is due about 11 days before me. We definitely like to compare pregnancy notes with each other, and it's been fun going through the whole education program together as well.
After the Convocation we took pictures (duh! of course) and then Mom, Dad, Camden, Brenner, Ammon's parents, Ammon and myself went to Tucanos to celebrate (because there is no better way to celebrate graduation than with massive amounts of meat).
It was fun to spend some time together. Then my parents stole my car so that they could get back home (their car broke down on the way up to Orem, and they barely made it... they had to catch a lift with someone and get dropped off at the school).
It was a truly great day!!! :)
(Minus the car breaking down...)
(also, I just noticed while I was downloading all of our pictures onto my computer that the ones that we got with our families aren't there... I don't know if they got deleted or what! So mom, if you're reading this will you please email me those pictures? Thanks!)
congrats! I only made it two years and missed the elementary ed program by one class (curse you El. Ed math!!) I still miss teaching and I only got to do it for a semester. But the things you've learned really do come in handy. Like when you get to teach 5 year olds in Church. Helpful to know how to "put on your teacher voice" and grab some attention.
ReplyDeletePerhaps the other pics are on Ammon's phone...? Remember that pesky attachment prob we spoke about before...guess I am going to have to use my as-yet-unused gmail account...and congrats again, Miss-Smarty-Pants!
